A message from ECCW owner Michael Sweetser

Since winning the ECCW Championship in January, Pete Powers has successfully defended the championship against top competition in ECCW. Recently, he has ventured outside ECCW to find success in Perros del in Mexico. I congratulate Pete Powers on his continued success representing ECCW abroad.

Unfortunately, as a result of this ongoing tour of Mexico, Pete Powers has been and will be unable to defend the ECCW Championship on ECCW live events in the near future. As a result, I am hereby stripping Pete Powers of the ECCW Championship, effective immediately.

ECCW will not go long without a champion. On Friday night, April 27th at the Bridgeview Hall in Surrey, ECCW will host a one-night, four-man single elimination tournament as part of Quest For Gold. The semifinal round will feature the following two matches:

* Natural Selection’s representative, Pacific Northwest superstar Aaron Bolo, will face the ultra-popular El Phantasmo.
* Former ECCW and NWA Canadian champion Sid Sylum will face one-half of the Bollywood Lions, “The Golden Lion” Gurv Sihra.

The winners of these two matches will meet that same night in the finals, with the winner being crowned the new ECCW Champion!

I wish all four men the best of luck, and look forward to April 27th, and the crowning of a new ECCW Champion.
