RESULTS: ECCW in Abbotsford!
Scotty Mac has been known to ruffle some feathers, but he was at an all time low in Abbotsford Friday night! When special guest Randy "Elvis" Friskie was singing O Canada, Scotty Mac interrupted him and tore into him. Apparently at a show Randy was performing on, he was trying to have some fun with Scotty and he yelled at him in the ring for it. Scotty was threatening physical violence but thankfully Lumberjack Bubba & Junior saved Friskie. In the Main event it was Bubba vs. Scotty for his NWA Canadian heavyweight title, and it was one heck of a match. Near the end, the ref was knocked out. Bad break for Bubba since he locked on the Sharpshooter and Scotty was tapping out! Scotty's executive consultant The Natural came into the ring but Randy "Elvis" Friskie stopped him! In all the confusion, Bubba tried to save Friskie from Scotty attack again, but this time missed and inadvertently splashed the Elvis impersonator! A superkick followed that and Scotty was still the champ. Scotty still wanted his to get his hands on Randy "Elvis" Friskie, but Junior came storming from the back to save him. Bubba then set Scotty up for their big tag team finisher, and Junior got Randy help out a give a big boot of his own! Scotty retreated after that and the three men danced in the ring, much to delight of the Abbotsford fans!
Australian sensation Tenille Dashwood faced former SuperGirls champion Nicole Matthews, with the winner earning a title match with Veronika in Surrey this Friday. Nicole Matthews went for her signature German Suplex through the match, but could never nail it. After the fourth or fifth attempt, Tenille rolled through a scored the pinfall! Her second match in ECCW will be an attempt to be Supergirls champ, but that will be tough, as Veronika is on a roll herself. In what was a advertised title defense, Veronika claimed that nobody in Abbotsford deserved a SuperGirls title shot, let alone Enid Urkhart! If Enid could somehow get the win, she could get a title shot down the line. Veronika is not champion for nothing though, and defeated Enid in her debut matchup. Another story to come out of this match was Junior and his newfound crush on the SuperGirls champion. Veronika had lured Junior to the back a couple of weeks ago in Vancouver, costing him and his partner their tag team title match against Pop Culture. It's uncertain as to what went on behind the curtains that night but in Abby, Junior came out with a Veronika shirt on and was smitten with her throughout the match. After Veronika won, she pretended to be flattered by the shirt and went for a kiss. Junior fell for her trap, and when he puckered up and closed his eyes, he was low blowed!
