BLOG: The Solid Gold Truth #2
There's more than one way to skin a cat, a fact that ECCW superstar MANTHER should certainly become well accustomed to in the coming weeks.
The brain of a cat makes up only 0.9% of its total body mass, compared to 2% for humans. The decision MANTHER made on May 2 in Vancouver undoubtedly proved that scientific fact.
The Church of the Divine Prophecy made MANTHER who he is today and it's only a matter of time before they destroy him.
From a young age, the Divine Prophet formed a friendship with the abomination known as MANTHER. According to my sources, the Divine Prophet even bestowed his name upon him.
You see, the Divine Prophet helped mold MANTHER from an untamed, disgusting beast into the relatively civilized creature we see today. Without the Divine Prophet's guidance, encouragement and friendship MANTHER would still be roaming the fields near Holy Acres ranch. The Divine Prophet brought him into the Church and helped him become a good Christian.
Sure, MANTHER might have a tail, whiskers and smell of catnip, but the Divine Prophet looked beyond all of that and led him on the proper path to righteousness all those years ago.
It's a fact that must make what MANTHER did earlier this month hurt that much more for the Divine Prophet and his disciples.
MANTHER refused to be baptized and thus gain full entry into the Church. He then proceeded to pin the Divine Prophet in a fluke victory to qualify for the 2009 Pacific Cup.
MANTHER might benefit in the short term but his career outlook appears bleak. The Church did everything for him and made him into the superstar he is today. The Divine Prophet has singlehandedly salvaged the careers of men like Matt Classic and Mike Dempsey. Those two had no career direction prior to joining up with the Church and now have established goals for themselves. The Divine Prophet also turned Artemis Spencer from a star into a superstar. Spencer has never been this focused or prepared for matches and it's all thanks to the Divine Prophet's leadership.
Without the Prophet's guidance, I predict MANTHER's career will slowly crumble. He traded a strong career foundation for the waning cheers of the fans. It's a decision he will ultimately regret.
Cats may have nine lives, but I think MANTHER's are all but used up.
And you can take that to the bank, because everything I say is GOLDEN...rod!
