RESULTS: Scotty Survives the Surrey Streetfight!

With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, Scotty Mac stepped into the Bridgeview Hall in Surrey to defend the NWA Canadian heavyweight championship against Moondog Manson, and it was as wild and crazy as predicted! As the match began, Scotty ordered his Chill Town cohorts to leave the ringside area, so he could prove he could beat the ECCW Hardcore champion by himself, even against The Natural and Azeem The Dream's protests. To ensure this would be the case, Manson brought out his tag team partner Cremator to keep an eye on the entranceway. With it one on one, Manson and Scotty beat and bloodied each other all over the Bridgeview Hall, using steel chairs, barbed wire bats and the building itself to brutalize each other! Scotty set a table up near the stage, but it ended up being used against him, as Manson crowned him with a vicious piledriver off the stage through the table! Back inside the ring, Manson introduced one of his best hardcore friends into the contest - a bag filled with hundreds of thumbtacks! This was too much for Chill Town to handle, and after taking Cremator out of the equation with a triple-team attack, the Chill Town cavalry tried to save the day - only for new member Ray Brooks to be powerbombed onto the tacks by Manson! Manson attempted to piledrive Sid Sylum into the tacks, but this gave the opening Scotty needed to superkick Manson, and then springboard off the top rope with a legdrop onto a chair held on Manson's face for the pinfall to retain the title!

The feud between Kenny Lush & Nicole Matthews and Sid Sylum & Veronika Vice came to a head in Surrey in an intergender tag team contest! There was no rule preventing the men from wrestling the women, and Sylum and Veronika took full advantage of it, with Sylum taking great pleasure in throwing his former love around the ring, as Lush seethed on the apron in anger! Finally, Nicole was able to get the tag to Lush, who cleaned house on Sylum with his vicious kamikaze attacks, culminating in a 100 Mile Driver off the apron to the floor below! Both men fought back inside the ring as the women brawled on the floor, and after a missed lariat by Sylum, a second 100 Mile Driver took Sylum down for good.. as Lush tagged Nicole in and allowed her to score the pinfall on Sylum! After the match, Veronika, angered at Sylum losing to her rival, actually punted Sylum in the groin and left him in the ring! Sylum tried to make amends with his former love Nicole, and it appeared that there was a reconciliation... only for Nicole to give Sylum a second kick to the groin, much to the delight of the crowd in Surrey!

One of the fightingest champions in ECCW history, Memphis was in action in Surrey, defending the NWA/ECCW Championship against Matt Classic, with The Divine Prophet and MANTHER at ringside for Classic. Memphis evened up the odds in his own way, producing a ball of yarn to entice MANTHER, then tossing it at the Prophet, causing MANTHER to dive out of the ring and onto Prophet himself in an effort to get his favorite toy! This left Classic and Memphis to go at it in a hard hitting, back and forth matchup, both men laying into each other with their best offensive maneuvers. Things took a turn for the worst as a belly to belly superplex by Classic caused Memphis to barrel into referee Mike Sweetser, taking him down and out of the contest. This allowed the Church of the Divine Prophecy to attack Memphis to try to give Classic the NWA/ECCW Championship, only for Memphis' brother MR2 to make the save.. and be attacked by the Church himself! Memphis fought back, clearing the ring and taking Classic down with a vicious lungblower to score the pinfall and retain the NWA/ECCW Championship, before helping his hurt brother out of the ringside area. Following the match, Prophet scolded MANTHER for giving Classic the Apocalypse Meow and slapped MANTHER across the face. MANTHER shook in anger and appeared to finally have had enough of Prophet's abuse, but was stopped by Mike Dempsey.. then driven into the mat by Artemis Spencer and his Michinoku Driver! As the Church was about to continue their attack on MANTHER, "Brilliant" Billy Suede stormed the ring and ran off the Church!

A spot in the 2009 Pacific Cup tournament was on the line as El Phantasmo and Ice went head to head at the Bridgeview Hall in a tremendous junior heavyweight contest! Phantasmo tried to make the match one on one in a rather sneaky way, falling flat on his face by himself near the ropes to make it appear that Ice's bodyguard CP tripped him, causing referee Tommy Stripes to eject him from the match! However, it backfired on Phantasmo, as in the confusion between himself, CP and Ice on the floor, Ice's tag team championship partner Bishop slid into the ring and nailed Phantasmo with the NWA/ECCW tag team title belt, allowing Ice to score the tainted victory! However, NWA representative Mike Sweetser had seen the cheating from the back and ran to ringside, ordering that Bishop be officially ejected and that the match be restarted! A furious Ice went at it again with Phantasmo, but the restart gave Phantasmo new life, and in the end, it was Phantasmo's anklelock that sealed the deal, forcing Ice to tap out and giving El Phantasmo a spot in the 2009 Pacific Cup tournament!

Ever since winning the Chill Town Open, Ray Brooks has done his best to win over his new Chill Town stablemates, even going so far as to try to learn their cheating, underhanded ways. In Surrey, Brooks came out with Chill Town and told them that he had a surprise for them. All the members went to the back, and as some country music played, Chill Town came back out, all wearing cowboy hats in "support" of Brooks! As Scotty Mac accosted Ray for his choice of music, Brooks said he would prove himself to Chill Town by issuing an open challenge to anybody in the back! Brooks quickly learned to be careful what he wished for, as the challenge was answered by the seven-foot Cremator! Brooks tried to use all his Chill Town skills against Cremator, even giving him a low blow and Rocker Dropper, but Cremator was too big and too strong, spiking Brooks into the mat with a vicious chokeslam for the pinfall!

In a battle that has been brewing for several weeks now, Tony Baroni & Jamie Diaz stepped into the ring against the two men they've tormented for weeks now, Volt Vegas & "Dastardly" Danni Deeds, a team brought together by mutual respect and an intense dislike for Baroni and Diaz! Baroni and Diaz isolated Deeds from Vegas in the ring as much as they could, but Deeds was finally able to fight free and make the tag to Vegas, who cleaned house! As Vegas and Diaz fought on the floor, Baroni dove onto both men, leaving Deeds in the ring.... as Nick Price made his return to ECCW, sliding into the ring and DDTing Deeds on the way back out, allowing Baroni to score the pinfal victory! Baroni, Diaz and Price embraced in a show of camaraderie, before stomping on Vegas on the way out!

In other results from Surrey, Mike Dempsey defeated Red Money, Azeem The Dream beat Scott Steel, and Mikey D forced Callos to tap out.
