NWA CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
SURREY STREETFIGHT
Scotty Mac (Champion) vs. Moondog Manson (Challenger)
Moondog Manson has been hot on the trail of Scotty Mac and his NWA Canadian heavyweight championship for months, even with every possible obstacle that Scotty Mac and Chill Town have thrown in his way. But this Friday night in Surrey, there's no place for Scotty Mac to run and nowhere for him to hide - he will defend the championship he's held for over a full calendar year against the nine-time reigning ECCW Hardcore champion in a Surrey Streetfight, where ANYTHING and EVERYTHING goes! Manson has non-title victories over Scotty Mac, including just recently in Surrey when Scotty's swerve to force Manson to defend the Hardcore title instead backfired on the Chill Town leader, with Scotty suffering the indignity of Manson's feared piledriver! Will Scotty Mac's fabled luck finally run out on him in Surrey?
In addition, the winner of the contest will go on to Vancouver in eight days' time to defend the NWA Canadian heavyweight championship against Kenny Lush! Will it be Scotty Mac attempting yet another successful title defense.. or will it be the very first title defense by Moondog Manson? Find out this Friday night in Surrey!
NWA/ECCW CHAMPIONSHIP
Memphis (Champion) vs. Matt Classic (Challenger)
Ever since The Divine Prophet lured a number of ECCW wrestlers into his Church, it's been made clear that the ultimate goal is complete control over all ECCW titles, and the Church has taken big steps in that direction, with the Prophet himself winning the SLAM Academy championship, and recent convert Artemis Spencer immediately winning the NWA Canadian junior heavyweight championship! This Friday in Surrey, one of the Prophet's first disciples, Matt Classic, will try to bring ECCW's richest prize to the Church! But first, he has to get through one of the fightingest champions in recent ECCW history, Memphis, who has made it clear he will defend the belt against any and all comers in and out of ECCW! Memphis and Classic have history together dating all the way back to 2003, when Classic defeated Memphis to become the NWA Pacific Northwest junior heavyweight champion, sparking a year-plus reign as champion! Classic hopes to duplicate that success and that dominance this Friday night, but Memphis has been on an absolute roll as of late, and he vows the Church will make no difference to him - he will walk out as NWA/ECCW Champion to face Sid Sylum next Saturday in Vancouver, no matter what it takes!
INTERGENDER TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH
Sid Sylum & Veronika Vice vs. Kenny Lush & Nicole Matthews
Spring has finally began. As the saying goes, 'tis the season when a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of love. But in the harsh climate of ECCW, a young man's thoughts of love can quickly become hate-filled emotion, raging out of control! Sid Sylum and Nicole Matthews were the best of friends and more, until Sylum's own wandering eye spotted Nicole's arch-rival, Veronika Vice, bringing their partnership to an end - and Sylum's present to Veronika was Nicole's own SuperGirls championship! But as one relationship ends, another begins - Kenny Lush's affections for Nicole were well known, and as he battled Sylum and won the Extreme Rules Rumble, he finally got the date with Nicole that he always wanted! This Friday night, there will be no love lost in the Bridgeview Hall as Sylum and Veronika tangle with Lush and Nicole in an intergender tag team grudge match!
2009 PACIFIC CUP QUALIFYING MATCH
El Phantasmo vs. Ice
Last year, El Phantasmo made it as far as the finals of the Pacific Cup tournament.. while Ice was unceremoniously drubbed out of the tournament in the first round, not by an opponent, but by a severe concussion that left him in no condition to continue. For one year, Ice has screamed to the heavens about the injustice he suffered, and his chance to rectify that is this Friday, as he and Phantasmo compete in a 2009 Pacific Cup tournament qualifier! Both men are considered heavy favorites to go a long way in the Pacific Cup tournament - but after this Friday night, one of these two men will not even be in the tournament, while the other will go on to the tournament and possible superstardom!
"Untouchable" Jamie Diaz & Tony Baroni vs. Volt Vegas & "Dastardly" Danni Deeds
If you look up the word "obnoxious" in the dictionary, you'll find a lot of words. But if there were pictures of ECCW wrestlers in your dictionary, you'd see Jamie Diaz and Tony Baroni next to that word. Annoying by themselves, as a tag team they became downright unbearable not only to the fans, but to the opponents they step into the ring with. But their cheating and deception has brought two very unlikely allies together - Volt Vegas and "Dastardly" Danni Deeds, whose battles over the past few months have forged a bond of mutual respect between the two! Vegas has done a complete 180, from bullying Deeds to sticking up for the nerdy favorite, and this Friday, both Deeds and Vegas want to give Baroni and Diaz a serious attitude adjustment!
All this and more will be emanating this Friday night at the Bridgeview Hall in Surrey! Tickets are on sale here on ECCW.com - if you don't have them yet, go get them, and come see us this Friday night in Surrey! Return to main page
