It’s not often we lead a story with “beats a man with a crutch” but here we are.

Yes, for those unaware, Scotty Mac attacked Erik Strange after his match at Let’s Get Weird, September 28th, shocking fans everywhere. Well, some fans know you should never trust Scotty, but still, we thought Erik Strange was his protege, set to be the next big name in ECCW. Why did Scotty choose this moment to betray him?

But for reasons that are still unclear to us, Scotty snapped, and took a crutch to his former friend. Strange things tend to happen when Erik is around, but this one feels even weirder than normal. Maybe “Let’s Get Weird” was foreshadowing all along. Maybe we should be paying attention to show titles even closer. Dear god what does “Mortal Kombat” hold in store for us….

Anyhoo, since we’re confused, and you’re confused, we sent in Al Leung right after that match to get some answers. And, well, we still can’t quite figure it out, but what we do know is Scotty wants the world to know he is the majority owner of ECCW. Mr. 51% to be accurate.

Yes, Scotty is mad Erik Strange didn’t “save” him at War Games, and yes, Scotty is the majority owner of ECCW. Add this all together and it has the recipe for a lot of future violence.

Which is why our new HR Manager Henry Reed has demanded both men sit down at a meeting later this week to sign a No Physicality Contract, at least until Scotty heals up his knee, and they can inflict all the violence in the world they want on each other in the middle of a ring, where the wrestling God’s intended it.

We will update you when we know more.
